We understand that your orthodontic treatment is a true investment in a beautiful and healthy smile As a result, we offer both financing & payment options that make it easier to meet your budgeting needs. We accept all major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Please ask us about our auto payment option, which runs monthly and provides you with your rewards or points automatically.

At your case conference visit, we will review your total cost of treatment which varies depending on your individual needs and proposed treatment plan. During this visit, we will present an interest free financing contract which runs the duration of your estimated treatment time. We will work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget so that you know what to expect before beginning treatment.

Orthodontic benefits work a little differently than your regular dental coverage. If your dental insurance includes benefits for orthodontic treatment, it will be in the form of a lifetime maximum payable at a certain percentage of submitted fees. In other words, it doesn’t reset deductibles and coverage annually as with regular dental insurance. Our staff will check on your level of orthodontic coverage at your first consultation appointment to make sure you understand your insurance benefits.

Our office participates with a number of insurance companies including Delta, Horizon BC/BS, MetLife & Cigna. Participation means that we have a provider relationship with these insurance companies that allow claim benefits to be paid directly to our office. No worries, you will still be able to utilize your orthodontic coverage with a carrier not listed. The only difference is that payments will go directly to you vs our office. We process all insurance on our patient’s behalf for a worry free experience.

We offer convenient hours to our patients including evening hours and one Saturday a month during the school year. In order to give patients the ability to see us after school or work, our afternoon and evening appointments are shorter in duration. Longer appointments such as the placement of new braces, complete removal of braces or major repairs and construction appointments are scheduled in the mornings. To ensure you stay on track with your estimated treatment time, be sure to make all scheduled orthodontic adjustment appointments. A few missed appointments can translate into longer treatment times.

True orthodontic emergencies are rare, but when they do occur we are available to respond. These include broken fixed appliances that prevent your mouth from opening and closing, bleeding or an injury to the mouth that has displaced a bracket, band, appliance or teeth. Your first call if you experience broken or displaced teeth from trauma should be to your general dentist. We will then follow up to schedule an appointment with our office to address the problem.

You may be surprised to know that most minor orthodontic problems like a broken or poking wire or bracket can be resolved at home. Keeping orthodontic wax and a pencil eraser handy will assist in handling these minor problems.

  • Poking wire or bracket: Roll a piece of wax into a ball and press it onto the part that is poking you
  • Broken wire: Press the wire toward your teeth with a pencil eraser
  • Small cut: To help the cut heal, rinse your mouth with a mixture of 1 tsp of salt and 1 cup of warm water

Our staff will check periodically with you regarding any needed supplies to ensure you can temporarily solve these minor issues until an appointment can be scheduled with our office. After alleviating your problem, it is important that you still call our office to schedule a time to repair the problem. Allowing your appliance to remain damaged for an extended period of time may result in lengthening your treatment time.
